Director of Physical Training, Physiotherapist
Meet Colin Oczkowski
Colin is a Hamilton-born physiotherapist who earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and has been practicing since 2013. Education sits at the heart of his treatment philosophy — he works with clients of all ages and activity levels to better understand their bodies, movement, pain, and the rehabilitation process. That passion for teaching extends beyond the clinic, where he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Masters of Physiotherapy Program at McMaster University.
With a strong background in strength and conditioning, Colin focuses on finding the right entry point for exercise by meeting clients where they are and progressing them toward their goals in a safe, sustainable, and empowering way. His approach blends education, individualized programming, and knowledge translation while recognizing the important connection between physical and mental health. Colin values integrating mental health considerations into care and understands that movement, pain, stress, injury, and overall wellbeing are deeply interconnected.
At eFIT, Colin plays an important role in supporting members as they begin their physical wellness journey. He completes initial physiotherapy assessments for all new members prior to starting programming, helping assess for pain, prior injuries, chronic conditions, movement limitations, and relevant health history. This process helps ensure that each individual receives programming and exercise recommendations that are appropriate, supportive, and tailored to their unique needs and goals.
In addition to assessments, Colin can also be found in the gym space supporting members with their workouts. He is passionate about helping members build confidence, reduce fear around movement, and develop a healthier relationship with their bodies and physical wellbeing.
Outside of work, Colin spends his time with family and friends.
